Programs
All women of First Baptist are welcome
at  the  Women’s Fellowship meetings
and activities. Each woman is
encouraged to participate according to
her own needs, interests and gifts as led
by the Spirit of God. We are an integral
part of the First Baptist Church of West
Hartford.
KNITTING GROUP

This informal group meets on Wednesdays in Gilbert
Hall at 1:00 p.m.  All women and girls are invited to bring
their own projects or use materials available at  the
church. You are welcome to knit, crochet, quilt, or do
needlework.  Contact Edie Castagno if you are
interested in attending this group.
LUNCH BUNCH
This informal group meets in the Church kitchen for lunch, lively conversation, and an
interesting  program. Meetings are on the second Wednesday, October through April.
For information contact  Sonja Davis.

WOMEN IN THE WORKPLACE
Women who are working get together in homes occasionally  for a variety of activities
or discussions.  For information call  Sheredith Seeley.

TAI CHI
This gentle exercise group meets weekly in Fellowship Hall on Thursdays from 1 to 2
pm. There is a small fee to cover the professional instructor, but the first class is
always free. Drop by or call Sonja Davis.

CANCELED STAMPS, CAMPBELL
PRODUCTS LABELS &
BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION
These year-round projects provide income for three different Mission projects.  Further
information and collection containers are on the Women’s Fellowship Bulletin Board.

CHRISTMAS CARD PROJECT
In December, church families and friends remember each other on the Christmas
Greetings Board.  One card is posted on the board, and the money saved on cards
and postage is donated to a mission or community project.

CHRISTMAS GIFT TAGS
Your used Christmas cards are recycled into attractive gift tags that will be for sale
during the Christmas season.  The money received from the sale of these tags goes
toward special remembrances sent to our shut-ins throughout the year.

Ministries. Colorful boxes, or envelopes,  are available for personal use at home

WHITE CROSS

Through White Cross, we help our missionaries nationally and internationally with
needed items.  This group meets at 10:00 a.m. on the first Tuesday of the month,
October to May, in Fellowship Hall.  If you have questions, call Jean Denton  or Carol
Wylie

MEALS-ON-WHEELS
Volunteers from First Baptist deliver meals as part of the Greater Hartford Meals-On-
Wheels. This program serves two meals, five days a week, to about 375 clients.  Many
of our members and friends help with two routes in West Hartford.
If you can drive, or accompany someone else, call Fay Trowbridge or Sally Hurlbert.
Approximately two hours once a month at noontime are required. Volunteers are
always needed, either as regulars or backups.

RECEPTIONS
Women’s Fellowship provides receptions for funerals or  memorial services.  We set
