First Baptist Church of West Hartford
90 North Main Street, West Hartford CT 06107
We are glad you have decided to explore our website.
Browse through it and we will give you an introduction
to our community of faith.
We are a Christian community that welcomes all who
are seeking to explore their spiritual lives. In Jesus
Christ and his teachings we find the love of God
revealed, and we have decided to follow him.
We seek to live by the moral and ethical principles
taught by Jesus as revealed in scripture, submitting
ourselves to God, who is the ultimate judge of our
thoughts and actions. We celebrate our calling as
stewards of the Earth, God’s planet, our home, and we
strive for social justice within human relationships.
We welcome you to visit with us, worship with us, learn
and grow with us, and serve the world with us.

Our FBC Foodshare garden is up and running again this
season. Thanks to an energetic crew who finished turning in
the winter rye, it is ready for planting the summer crops to
join the peas that are blossoming now. By the time you read
this the squash and beans should be in and maybe
beginning to sprout. The summer squash (green and yellow)
was a great favorite with the soup kitchens last summer.
Helpers are always needed to weed, plant, and pick. See
Don Zimbelman for details.
